Provider Engagement Specialist Job Summary:
  • Provider Engagement Specialist is responsible for managing ongoing quality standards with networked providers and for the implementation of projects that support initiatives of the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) strategies and goals.
  • They are a clinical professional with specific expertise in population health.
  • Must possess the capacity to understand the nexus of clinical and business metrics in order to assist clinical practices in the transformation that is foundational to implementing a health home.
  • Will interact with operational and clinical teams across all lines of business as well as across all business functions.
  • Demonstrates business practices that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of independence, flexibility, initiative, and commitment while at the time demonstrates the capacity to work in teams developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with positive interactions that improve productivity across all organizational areas of function. 
  • Displays strong initiative to establish and achieve goals within defined timelines.
  • Demonstrates leadership, organization, collaboration and critical in addressing decisions and resolving issues.
  • Coordinates management of key metrics and performance improvement initiatives and/or alternative payment models.
  • In collaboration with Medical Directors, establishes relationships with Primary Care Provider and creates processes that result in expansion and growth of the PCMH concept among Providers.

Provider Engagement Specialist Background:  
  • Requires 4-year degree in Business or Healthcare related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2+ years healthcare experience leading and growing physician organizations, project management, and/or performance improvement activities. 
  • Requires 3-5 years of Provider Engagement experience.
  • Prefer prior experience with epidemiological data analysis.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing operating plans. 
  • Proven communication skills, including listening and presentation. 
  • Ability to lead change and achieve support for change; builds consensus. 
  • Proven success as a team player who can build collaborative relationships across the organization 
  • Proven knowledge of how to get things done in a complex organization with the ability to handle complex, ambiguous, and changing environments. 
  • Basic MS Office skills
  • Partial Field Role:  Must be willing and able to travel in designated areas
