Regional Operations Manager  –  Managed Care
New York, NY (Manhattan)

Regional Operations Manager Duties:
  • Manage workflow and monitor productivity to ensure medical claim/case is processed within service level time frames
  • Review daily, weekly, and quarterly reporting to ensure accurate reporting
  • Review daily work to ensure compliance to contract guidelines 
  • Manage workflow to ensure timely and appropriate follow-up on outstanding deliverables
  • Review quality results of work performed to ensure accurate processing and communicate findings 
  • Ensure systems are updated timely and appropriately when documents are received
  • Identify and take action on potential late cases
  • Manage workflow of External (Plan, CMS IMEDICES, etc.) Reviews
  • Work with Sr. Managers and staff to ensure potential issues are communicated effectively and timely
  • Interface directly with assigned Plan liaisons as determined by the client
  • Assist in the training of staff and in the coordination of Special Projects
  • Assist in the development of and implementation of policies and procedures to Review Operations unit
  • Communicate with external liaisons on issue specific to client 
 Regional Operations Manager  Background:
  • Highly prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Leadership, or related field.
  • Requires demonstrated ability to manage several accounts and resolve issues on the telephone and in writing with various clients.
  • Around 1-2 years of health care operations experience, medical record technician experience is ideal.
  • Prefer 1 or more years of experience working for a Managed Care Organization (Health Plan, IPA, TPA, MSO, etc).
  • Roughly 1 year previous supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office and Healthcare IT Systems) and typing skills are necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as exceptional critical thinking skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with internal and external contacts.
