Manage the backlog of work associated with USPS’ Splunk deployment.  Responsible for executive reporting and coordinating team activities.  May participate in the development of the Roadmap for this solution within USPS. Requires familiarity with Splunk.  
Resource should have significant experience managing technical programs in a large IT enterprise.

  • Manage input from multiple teams:
  • Drive weekly sprints; define quarterly/annual goals
  • Define and develop metrics to measure key indicators including value, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Track and report on the efforts of project teams or technology functions
  • Experience transitioning projects/services into on-going operational modes
  • Make recommendations of staffing and quality improvement initiatives 
  • Exceptional communications, both oral and written
  • Develop and present program status / metrics to senior USPS management
  • Identify roadblocks and propose effective solutions 
  • Ability to positively influence peer organization and key stakeholders
  • Run reports from Incident / Change / Problem system (ServiceNow)
Minimum of 5-7 years of IT delivery experience, with 3-5 years in a project management role
3-5 years experience managing projects in both waterfall and agile software development methodologies 

Bachelor's degree in Science, Business or related disciplines (Master's Preferred)

Certifications: (one or more required)
GSLC: GIAC Security Leadership Certification
GCPM: GIAC Certified Project Manager Certification 
PMP Project Management Professional

Additional Provisions

• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
• If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen, or have a permanent residence status (Green Card).
• Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
• The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e. collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.
• Hours of support: The standard work week for contract staff will be 5 days a week, 8 hours per day preferable Monday - Friday.
• Contract staff may be required to travel to support business efforts.
