Behavioral Health Program Coordinator ​Job Summary:
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining an integrated medical and behavioral health program that achieves required service standards by measuring performance against goals/metrics, directs the flow of work, and identifies opportunities for process improvements.
  •  Research, assess, develop, document and evaluate an integrated behavioral health management programs for members in compliance with applicable benefit plans, state, federal and accreditation guidelines.
  • Plan the delivery of the overall behavioral health and medical integrated program and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization

Behavioral Health Program Coordinator Background:
  • Active, current, and unrestricted license to practice in the State of Arizona as a health professional, including RN, , LMFT, LMSW, or LCSW.
  • Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Health and Human Services related field of study
  • Prefer certification in case management (CCM), or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or other behavioral health related.
  • 3 years of behavioral health experience in clinical field of practice, health insurance, or other health care related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in full-time equivalent of direct clinical care to the consumer
  • Prefer 3 years of experience in health insurance / managed care industry
  • Knowledge of program development / management
  • Knowledge of issues related to behavioral health / substance abuse
  • Intermediate knowledge of information systems including Microsoft office suites plus public and proprietary software applications
  • Intermediate knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-10 and DSM-5 coding
