Market Intelligence Analyst Job Summary:
  • Primary responsibility is the production of high-level analytical reports on patient quality, utilization and outcome, health care costs or market research data that supports company integration, growth and maximizing value initiatives.
  • Position responsibilities can include data mining, analysis and reporting and clinical quality, patient utilization and outcome, and financial data, comparative analysis of performance against bench-marked health industry data, and analysis of market research or financial data for business development and growth initiatives.
  • Responsibilities will also include the cultivation and maintenance of relationship with external partners and data sources and delivering customer focused work product in internal business partners.
Market Intelligence Analyst Background: 
  • Requires an education level of at least a high school diploma or GED; Bachelor degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Around 3-5 years of health data analysis experience, preferably in managed care environment.
  • Established experience with MS Access to create report and design databases; competence with the process of data retrieval from data warehouses and databases.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills to a wide diverse audience.
  • Excellent analytical reporting and understating of patient quality, utilization and outcome based data.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and knowledge of best health care practices.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of health care delivery system, Medicaid/Medicare and related state programs is a plus.
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and basic data entry, including the ability to manipulate data and produce charts/reports applicable to reporting requests.
