Sterilization Nurse Job Summary:
  • RN actively demonstrates the highest degree of, kindness, compassion and respect of culture during all interactions with patients, and their family members
  • RN will maintain clinical competencies and proficiency as per standards of practice, and regulatory guidelines, all hospital policies, protocols and outcome standards

  • Supervises patient care activities of assigned team members, delegates activities appropriate to knowledge, skill and competency; provides timely feedback and review of care delivery to ensure maintenance of patient safety, infection control procedures and therapeutic environment
  • RN supports the care of the patient as directed, including but not limited to all tasks within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse within the State of Arizona
  • Provides population appropriate nursing care to the episodic, urgent, emergent, acute and/or chronically ill in a clinic setting in accordance with hospital mission, vision and values.
  • Accurately and reliably interpret data for determining health status and initiate appropriate action in emergency situations
  • Assess family dynamics for well-being of patient by recognizing their limitations and strengths through completion of thorough and effective interviews
Sterilization Nurse Background: 
  • Valid, unrestricted state Registered Nurse (R.N.) license.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field is preferred.
  • Around 1-2 years’ acute care clinical nursing experience.
  • Requires current and valid CPR certification, or within 30 days of hire.
  • Demonstrated work history as part of an integrated team.
  • Ability to be highly productive and provide compassionate care in a diverse setting and in stressful situations.
  • Prefer prior experience working with Native American populations and/or programs.
